Dear Ronald Cannan, MP
As your constituent, I (Mike Christy) am writing to ask you to support
Private Members Bill C-474, when it is debated for its second hour on
Thursday April 1 with the recorded vote on April 14.
As a consumer and health practitioner, I stand against GE and GMO foods. I
feel very strongly that; if companies wish to test and experiment with GE
and GMO foods, they must be labeled so the public can clearly choose for
themselves.

Organic farming has the most potential when it comes to solving important
issues such as; our health and the future of health care, local and global
environmental awareness, the creation of many jobs in the agriculture
sector (perhaps offering these “new” jobs to the homeless and, creating
organic farming programs for institutionalized convicts as part of a
rehabilitation program.)
Throughout my research, there are no quality studies that support GMO’s
and GE foods as safe and healthy alternatives. Studies on rats showed
organ, brain and immune system damage in 10 days with GMO potatoes!
I strongly feel that we should all raise more awareness with in ourselves
and our communities, with the quality research from these great food
